It's now December, and you still see precious little reporting in the American press about the origins of Covid-19. I just don't get it. You'd think there would be more curiosity about its history. Where did it come from? How does it compare to other viruses out there? How likely is it that another, more virulent virus will emerge, causing an even worse pandemic? These are all questions we should be thinking about.
The Guardian had an update the other day. There is still no evidence at all that the virus began in the Wuhan lab, either through an accidental release or through intent. Beyond that, there seem to be a lot of questions remaining.
